Youth Saves Family & Prevails in Famine

Jiang Yu, a modern teenager, transmigrates into the body of a live-in son-in-law in the Su family during a famine. His life begins with the deaths of the elderly Su couple and his wife, leaving him stigmatized as a "gambler and good-for-nothing" while also protecting his five younger sisters-in-law. When bullies like Wang Erniu and Tiger come to his door demanding debts and humiliating him, Jiang Yu activates the "Family Protection System," gaining the ability to heal injuries and exchange for weapons and supplies. He defeats the bullies, finds valuable medicinal herbs like monkey head mushrooms in the mountains, fights a python to save his sisters-in-law, and uses the system's spiritual spring and seeds to cultivate the land. During this time, he helps Liu Da Niang stop stealing grain, resolves Chen Mei's entanglement, and helps the herb merchant Qin Rumeng find dendrobium and an antidote, only to have Tiger steal and resell his wheat. Ultimately, Jiang Yu exposes Tiger's crimes, replants wheat and reaps a bountiful harvest, and Tiger dies due to gambling debts. In the end, Su Zhilan, Su Zhiyuan, Qin Rumeng, and others confess their love to Jiang Yu, making him a pillar of support for the Su family and the villagers.
