Big Zhuang, who’d been busy with work and away from home for ages, saw his daughter Xiao Wei getting bullied, flew into a rage to protect her, but got the cold shoulder from her. They bickered under the ginkgo tree—Xiao Wei, all worked up, nearly got hit by a car, luckily Big Zhuang yanked her back, but then both got knocked down by another car, banged their heads, and passed out. When they woke up, father and daughter had swapped bodies. They went to Dr. Liu for help, but he didn’t buy it. So they made a deal: pretend to be each other properly. Big Zhuang started messing up his own rep first, while Xiao Wei played it low-key at his company. Day one went smoothly—Xiao Wei even thought her dad had it easy at work. Day two, at the class meeting, Xiao Wei found out Big Zhuang had pulled a ton of stunts to ruin his image and blew a fuse. Day three, Big Zhuang’s company did mass layoffs—he got maliciously reported by Chunmei and Li Zhiyuan, and Xiao Wei finally felt her dad’s struggles. Jack ran into Xiao Wei by chance. She felt giddy inside but stayed cool on the surface. Jieni tried to set them up, Big Zhuang wanted to bolt but got stopped by Xiao Wei, who subtly hinted for him to take the gift. On the way home, Xiao Wei spotted an old man selling grilled sausages under the ginkgo tree. When Big Zhuang went to buy some, the old man spilled the tea: this tree was planted by an old fella with magic powers—if parent and kid fight and make a wish, they gotta go 12 days without arguing, get along, and do each other’s wishes to break the spell. Liu Xinxin spread lies about Xiao Wei. Big Zhuang stood up for his daughter at school, saw Jack’s real deal, stopped disliking him, and Chunmei still targeted “daughter-mode” Big Zhuang at work. Slowly, father and daughter started getting each other’s struggles, teaming up to hit their wishes—Xiao Wei’s was tied to Jack, Big Zhuang’s to his wife and girl. On day 12, they got into a car crash at the school gate, swapped.
