The spring breeze flows over the hills and fields

The female lead, who grew up in Qingshanao Village, was trapped in the constraints of her dysfunctional family from a young age, treated by her parents as a tool for making money. She thought marrying the male lead would bring her a stable life. Unexpectedly, the male lead died tragically in an accident while working away, leaving her to rely on her frail and sickly mother-in-law, along with a considerable amount of compensation for his work injury. When the bad news spread, the village bully eyed the compensation, and her selfish, mean parents and brother schemed for it as well. In this desperate situation, the female lead refused to bow down; she transformed from her usual self-contained, timid self to directly confronting the bully and standing up to her greedy family. She took on the burdens of life, carefully looking after her weak mother-in-law while safeguarding the compensation money. Riding the wave of rural revitalisation policies, she leveraged local forest resources, rooted herself in the village, started her own business, and became a light growing resiliently in the mountains.
