Plot
Scarred and rejected by her mate Roderick and family, Lyric has a one-night stand with a masked stranger who disappears. Five years later, now beautiful and a healer, she's forced to become Luna of the powerful Darkspire Pack to save her father. The Alpha, Jaris, is revealed to be the stranger, but acts cold. Lyric discovers he has two children, Xylon (whom she heals) and Xyla, with the hostile Marta. Roderick, regretting his past, tries to reclaim Lyric and threatens to expose their old bond. Jaris violently forces Roderick to sever the bond, revealing he knew about Lyric's dormant wolf and her healing abilities. Jaris, still searching for his "princess" from five years ago, asks Lyric to heal his inability to climax. Lyric discovers her locket contains ashes of her lost babies, conceived after their night. On their mating ceremony day, Jaris fails to appear, leaving Lyric heartbroken and abandoned once more.
