The Phantom's Playbook: My Billionaire Waterboy

Liam, the undefeated NFL legendary icon and sole heir to a trillion-dollar global consortium, dominated every gridiron game under the mysterious codename "Ghost" and earned an untouchable mythic status across the league. His unparalleled glory and inherited power stoked unbridled greed in his ambitious younger brother Erik, who colluded with ruthless corporate tycoon Marcus to stage a deliberate fatal car crash to murder Liam and seize full control of the family fortune. Against all odds, Liam survives the catastrophic crash, only to suffer total retrograde amnesia after falling off a steep cliff, and is rescued by Chloe, the female team physician of a tiny rural town semi-pro American football side. He ends up working as the lowly water boy for the local struggling Lumberjacks team, which is already on the brink of total disbandment, and is constantly subjected to mocking, humiliation and brutal bullying from the arrogant team captain Brad and his mean-spirited teammates. Even with zero memory of his past superstar identity, Liam retains the elite, top-tier pro football muscle memory carved deep into his body from years of competing at the highest level. Trapped in a dead-end predicament where predatory capital pushes for a hostile forced takeover of the team, rival sides deploy dirty on-field violence to steal wins by force, and even jealous teammates secretly drug him to sabotage his performance, Liam is thrust into the game lineup as a last-resort emergency substitution. He then pulls off one impossible miracle after another with his unguardable, peerless on-field prowess, mows down every opposing side, and leads the underdog squad to pull off stunning upset after upset for a legendary come-from-behind run. Eventually, Liam recovers all his lost memories and fully awakens to his true identity. He exposes his younger brother’s full usurpation conspiracy, tears down the entire dark capital manipulation ring behind the assassination scheme, defends the small team that became his new home and his beloved Chloe who saved his life, completes long-overdue revenge on all conspirators, and finally returns to claim his undisputed spot at the peak of the NFL world.
