Their blood fuses and activates the ancient Star Covenant that links their life energy. Ethan discovers his mentor Marcus colludes with the usurper star lord, using him—the Covenant host—as bait. Though Kaelion initially seeks the Star Core by Ethan’s side, genuine bond grows amid flight and life-or-death protection.
