Obsessed with Her: A Tale of Love and Revenge

Six years ago, Xia Yunxi rejected Gu Shenyan's proposal, leaving him with a sickly daughter who needed care. She disappeared without a trace, turning him into the laughingstock of Xicheng City overnight. Six years later, Xia Yunxi returns to Xicheng City, destitute and accompanied by her son, desperate to see her daughter once more. Gu Shenyan, filled with resentment, puts her through endless hardships. He demands that she work in a bar to earn the chance to meet her daughter. Forced to comply, Xia Yunxi narrowly escapes an assault by a sleazy customer at the bar, only to be rescued by Gu Shenyan at the last moment. He takes her home and gives her the role of a servant, forbidding her from revealing her true identity to her daughter. Living under Gu Shenyan’s roof, Xia Yunxi endures humiliation and the constant targeting of Gu’s fiancée, Xia Yunqian. Xia Yunqian, who stole Xia Yunxi’s identity as the heiress of Xia family years ago, is determined to ruin her. Driven by jealousy and hatred, she even orchestrates Xia Yunxi’s kidnapping, intent on eliminating her for good. It is only when Gu Shenyan nearly loses Xia Yunxi that he realizes he still loves her. He confesses his feelings and tries to make amends. However, fate plays a cruel hand-Xia Yunxi’s frequent dizziness and nosebleeds turn out to be symptoms of acute leukemia, leaving her with only six months to live. Stricken by her diagnosis, Xia Yunxi disappears again, this time intending to marry another man, He Qiming, to secure her son’s future. When Gu Shenyan learns her plans, he unleashes his power to crush He Qiming’s family. Xia Yunxi, unwilling to see He Qiming destroyed, takes her son to negotiate with Gu Shenyan: she will return her son to the Gu family if he stops attacking the He family. Gu Shenyan, still bitter and unaware of her illness, accuses Xia Yunxi of being heartless. When he finally discovers the truth, he is overcome with regret.
