Plot

During a time of famine, a scoundrel named Zhao Qi unexpectedly transmigrates into the body of a similarly despicable person in ancient times. The original owner was not only addicted to gambling but had also sold his younger sister, Zhao Huilan, to a widow named Wang in exchange for grain, leaving his entire family on the verge of starvation. Upon awakening, Zhao Qi faces rejection from his family. Fortunately, he activates the "Shock System"—earning points by creating shock in others, which can then be exchanged for survival resources. To turn the tide, he hunts rabbits to exchange for rice, initially gaining his family's trust with a hearty meal, but is still ridiculed by the villagers for the original owner's misdeeds. Zhao Qi uses the system to exchange for a "Cooking Ring" to conjure up delicious food, then hunts goats to intimidate the widow Wang, tears up the indenture to rescue his sister, and even shares the goat meat with the entire village as a gesture of goodwill. Resentment and isolation stemming from hostile neighbors. To completely resolve the famine, Zhao Qi collaborated with County Magistrate An Yuan to distribute porridge for disaster relief, but this was obstructed by three major grain merchants: Wu, Zheng, and Feng. The grain merchants monopolized grain prices, colluded with the prefect, and even sent bandits to rob the grain. Zhao Qi exchanged "shock points" for ten thousand catties of white rice, set up a gambling game to force the grain merchants to hand over their granaries, and publicly executed Wu, the wealthy man who had set fire to the grain. At the execution ground, the prefect threatened and questioned him, but Zhao Qi summoned wild boars to intimidate the crowd, exposing the grain merchants' crimes. Ultimately, he integrated resources through "work-for-disaster relief" to rebuild Zhou County. A year later, he refused the position of prime minister, developed the county town into a modern metropolis, married Xue Jingchu, the magistrat
