Letter of Divorce to Fenglin Tianxia

When the female emperor Shangguan Zhao was critically ill, she retrieved her daughter Shangguan Yue, who had been living in exile among the common people, and intended to pass the throne to her. Shangguan Yue was originally the wife of Lin Mu'an, a poor scholar from a humble family. She served her in-laws wholeheartedly and helped him attain fame through the imperial examinations. However, after Lin Mu'an passed the imperial examinations, in order to curry favor with the powerful and influential, he colluded with Chen Aoshuang, the daughter of the prefect, to frame Shangguan Yue for infidelity and forced her to divorce. At a critical juncture, Shangguan Yue's true identity was revealed, and eunuch Chen Ze (actually an old retainer protecting her) sacrificed his life to defend her. Finally, Shen Ling, sent by the female emperor, arrived in time to expose the truth and severely punish the evildoers. Shangguan Yue announced her accession to the throne at the funeral of her adoptive father Chen Ze, severed ties with the ungrateful Lin Mu'an, and completed her transformation from a discarded wife to a female emperor. The entire drama intertwines power struggles with the good and evil of human nature, presenting a palace legend about betrayal, revenge, and rebirth.
