Her Second Act

Claire, a once-promising designer, gave up her career for love to become a full-time housewife. Yet she later discovered her husband Ethan’s affair with Hannah, their son Noah’s tutor and his long-lost first love. Remorseless, Ethan filed for divorce under the pretext that Claire had no income, scheming to seize their assets and full custody of Noah. He even forced her to kneel and beg Hannah for mercy. One stormy night, frightened by thunder, Noah followed Ethan, only to be cruelly locked in the underground garage. As rainwater flooded the space and threatened Noah’s life, his desperate calls for help were ignored by Ethan and Hannah, who were absorbed in their date. Claire spotted her son’s peril via surveillance cameras, but her bank accounts had been frozen and she had nowhere to turn. Braving the torrential rain, she begged a truck driver for help. Together they rammed open the garage door, and Claire risked her own life to pull her unconscious son out. Noah was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment. After listening to his son’s frantic voice messages, Ethan finally realized his terrible mistakes, yet everything was already irreparable. At her lowest point, Claire reunited with her wealthy grandfather, who had spent twenty years searching for her. Reinvigorated by her new backing and identity, she resolved to fight back against her treacherous husband: reclaim custody of Noah, uncover buried family secrets, and reclaim the bright future that rightfully belonged to her.
