Plot
A thousand years ago, General Xiang Yan of the Zhou Kingdom led his troops to resist the enemy. His fiancée, Princess Feixue, in order to help him defeat the enemy, sacrificed herself and turned into a divine sword, enabling Xiang Yan to turn the tide of the battle. Xiang Yan intended to commit suicide to accompany her. Under the power of the princess's wish, the divine sword protected him and allowed him to live for a thousand years. Xiang Yan lived alone until modern times, hoping to meet the reincarnation of the princess among all living beings. However, when he actually met Xia Ning, a woman who looked exactly like the princess, she regarded him as a stranger. On the other hand, Liu Yiyi, who truly crossed a thousand years and came back with her original wish, was treated by him as something dispensable. Xie Tianhao, a wealthy second-generation, had people loot tombs. They accidentally dug up Xiang Yan's grave and obtained the divine sword, planning to put it up for auction. Xiang Yan chased Xia Ning, who resembled the princess, to the auction, and a conflict broke out between them. Behind all of this, Tu, the curator who pretended to be Xiang Yan's friend, coveted Xiang Yan's ability to live forever and plotted to manipulate his life and death. Xia Ning was nothing but a spy cultivated single-handedly by Curator Tu, who knew the whole story. Her purpose was to take advantage of Xiang Yan's feelings and make him willingly reveal the secret of eternal life. In this mistaken love, Xiang Yan went through many hardships. He broke through the karmic obstacles and redeemed himself, striving for a happy and perfect ending for this thousand-year-long and peerless love.
