Cosplay Club

Wei Lai, a young CEO, is deeply passionate about cosplay culture and is determined to host a high-profile anime and comic exhibition in Lucheng. However, his father suddenly withdrew funding midway, plunging the company into an operational crisis and pushing it to the brink of bankruptcy. Hounded by debt collectors, Wei Lai was forced to flee in a state of disarray—only to collide with Xia Shuang. In their brief, chance encounter in a corner, a subtle spark of affection began to grow between them before they went their separate ways. The company urgently needed a pure and fresh-looking girl to star in an advertisement, and Wei Lai immediately thought of Xia Shuang. He tracked her down using the address on the business card she had given him, staged a ""chance meeting"" to catch her attention, and finally invited her to dinner. At the café, Wei Lai made his request but was rejected due to his arrogant demeanor. Desperate to save face, he left and forced Xia Shuang to pay the bill—an expense of 386 yuan that left her furious. After much hesitation, Xia Shuang went to Wei Lai’s company to demand the money back. Yet, as they spent more time together, Wei Lai gradually developed feelings for this girl who owned a soft-serve ice cream shop and worked part-time as a tutor. He even helped her recover her withheld wages, and in the end, Xia Shuang agreed to be the lead actress in the advertisement. Later, Wei Lai lied about being homeless to move into Xia Shuang’s home, and her kind heart led her to agree. After a long night of talking, Xia Shuang encouraged Wei Lai and helped him manage the company. However, a dispute erupted between them when Xia Shuang took cosplayers to a local neighborhood to promote a wedding event—Wei Lai, disapproving of the ""unrefined"" setting, fired her from the company. Deeply wronged, Xia Shuang refused to acknowledge Wei Lai even when he came to apologize. When Wei Lai returned home, he learned that his stepmother wanted his father to help.
